Rediscount credit tax exemption now covers banks beyond Eximbank
The tax, duty and fee exemption for rediscount credits now covers loans opened for other banks, not only Türk Eximbank.
A communiqué published on 5 September 2026 amends the exemption rules for exports and foreign-currency-earning activities. The wording on central bank rediscount credits, which previously named only short-term note credits opened for Türk Eximbank, now refers to note rediscount credits opened for Türk Eximbank and other banks.
The change took effect on the day of publication. Exporters using rediscount financing through banks should confirm with their bank and customs or financial advisor how the exemption applies to their own loans.
