New phase of the FX conversion support began on 1 October

From 1 October 2026 the central bank's FX conversion support uses a value-added-based limit and an FX position ratio condition.

Under the revised scheme, the pledge not to buy foreign currency for a month is replaced by a position ratio: a firm's liquid foreign-currency assets, measured against the higher of net sales or total assets, must not exceed 10 percent.

A firm's eligible annual FX sales are now linked to its value added, with total annual support capped at 100 million TL per firm. For the last quarter of 2026, one quarter of the annual cap applies. Intermediary exporters can also convert FX on behalf of their suppliers once their own limits are used, and the support can be paid directly to the supplier. The temporary 3 percent rate remains valid until 31 January 2027.
